





A fabulous Antique Victorian winged insect brooch boasting two colourful natural Opals set into the body, the smallest is approx. 0.75ct with the largest weighing approx. 4ct in the abdomen.
Opal is a kaleidoscope of rainbow colours shimmering and changing colours with the light. It radiates blues, pinks, greens and an inner orange.
The head of the insect is set with rich red Rubies, approx. 0.24ct total and the wings are encrusted with approx. 1ct of sparkling Rose cut Diamonds and tipped with blue Sapphires that add up to around 0.80ct.
The brooch is fashioned in Silver and 18ct Yellow Gold which has developed a lovely rosy hue with age. It is a wonderful, colourful piece and highly collectable.
