This fabulous antique Micro Mosaic Buckle is Victorian Circa 1860.
The fabulous buckle is made up of two flower shaped galleries decorated in the most beautiful Micro Mosaic art work.
Micro Mosaic's are a special form of Mosaic that uses unusually small pieces of glass (tesserae), or in later Italian pieces an enamel-like material, to make small figurative images.
Each colourful piece of the mosaic is lovingly set featuring stars, leafs and a colourful bouquet of flowers in the centre.
The Mosaics are set in base Metal and attached by a chain link clasp.
A unique antique piece that looks wonderful when worn!
Weighs 32.7 grams.
Measures 113mm in length.
Each Mosaic measures 39mm across x 39mm down.
