Details
This remarkable antique Victorian moonstone diamond cluster ring is crafted in solid 18ct yellow gold, its pierced, navette-shaped gallery the perfect stage for a luminous marquise cabochon moonstone that bulges from the centre, weighing around 2.2 carats. It appears to glow with a soft, silvery-blue light and rises to a central point, with a delicate halo of twenty-four old mine-cut diamonds glittering around the border, totalling approx. 1 carat.
Flip the ring over, and you’ll discover a tiny secret, a delicate locket containing a plait of blonde hair, hinting that this may have once been a mourning piece, belonging to a beloved family member. The moonstone and diamonds beautifully represent the moon and stars here and evoke a celestial tribute to a departed loved one, as if their spirit continues to shine quietly in the heavens.
Preserved in excellent condition, this Victorian moonstone diamond navette ring is a rare find from the late 19th Century. A captivating statement piece for Victorian collector’s, it tells a timeless story of enduring love, memory, and sentiment.
