An exquisite antique mourning locket from the late Victorian era (Circa 1880) chased with stunning, foliate artistry across the front and back, including depictions of forget me nots that are a symbol of love and remembrance.
The inside of the locket is complete with rims, windows, and a lock of blonde hair. It was most likely kept in remembrance of a deceased loved one so that a piece of them was always kept close to the wearer's heart.
It was clearly very dear to its original owner and has been kept in excellent condition.
