Details
This enchanting antique Victorian opal solitaire ring is crowned with a large natural opal cabochon, securely claw set atop a smooth 18ct yellow gold band. It weighs approx. 2.5 carats and exhibits a magical display of blue, green, purple and orange embers that flash and glitter across its domed surface.
Opal is the birthstone of October and is considered a stone of luck, creativity, and passion. A jewel of liquid fire, its enchanting spectrum of colours, known as “opalescence”, shimmer across the surface of the stone as if alive and evoke the natural beauty of a fractured rainbow, or the Aurora Borealis dancing against the night sky.
This striking Victorian opal solitaire ring dates to the late 19th Century and has remained in excellent condition. Its sleek design and spellbinding natural opal make a wonderful antique statement piece, perfect for adding a touch of colour and magic to your everyday style.
