A striking antique Victorian opal statement ring boasting a magnificent natural opal cabochon weighing approx. 8 carats. It exhibits a changing kaleidoscope of greens, blues and purples with a warm orange glow behind. It’s flanked by blocked shoulder accents dotted with six twinkling diamonds and further diamonds chasing into the band (approx. 0.30ct total). 

Opal is the birthstone of October. Their magic has been revered throughout history, desired for their enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the natural beauty of planet Earth or the aurora borealis.   

The ring is modelled in a rosy 18ct gold and the opal is mounted in a secure four-prong gallery with scrolls and heart motifs pierced along the sides. It’s a spectacular antique statement piece, showcasing a spellbinding natural opal that was made to be flaunted.
