Details
This glorious antique Victorian opal brooch is claw set with a large natural opal cabochon, weighing approx. 20 carats, exhibiting luminescent green, blue, pink and purple flashes that glitter across the surface. It’s framed in warm 15ct yellow gold and haloed by bright pearls, green garnets and gold pommels and spools.
Opal is the birthstone of October and is considered a stone of luck, creativity, and passion. Its enchanting spectrum of colours shimmer across the surface as if alive, evoking the natural beauty of a fractured rainbow or the Aurora Borealis dancing against the night sky.
Dating to the late 19th Century, this beautifully designed Victorian opal pearl brooch has remained in excellent condition thanks to its strong pin and safety lock catch at the back. A collectable piece of Victorian heritage with a spectacular collection of natural gems on display.
