Details
Hand-crafted in warm 18ct yellow gold, this fabulous antique Victorian opal ruby bracelet is claw set with a graduated row of seven natural cabochon opals, punctuated by the deep crimson of eight natural rubies, set in delicate milgrain-edged frames. The true magic lies in the bracelets flexible, spring gate-links, a high-tech marvel of the 1890s that allows the bracelet to expand over the hand and snap to a perfect, snug fit around the wrist.
In the late Victorian era, Queen Victoria’s obsession with the opal transformed it into a popular symbol of hope and devotion. These well-matched opals dance with vivid, neon green, blue, pink and orange hues, burning like a fiery rainbow beneath the surface, while the rubies add a whisper of seductive passion.
This extraordinary opal ruby bracelet has remained in immaculate condition thanks to its secure box clasp, fitted with a safety catch and chain for extra peace of mind. It displays the exquisite craftsmanship of the late 19th century, paired with a mesmerising spread of natural gems to create a magnificent statement piece that is sure to enchant others.
