An exquisite antique Victorian crescent moon brooch from the late 19th Century decorated with a line of blue and white pastes that resemble sapphires and diamonds.
Star and Moon images became popular during the late 19th Century as an interest in astronomy grew. Crescent moons were seen as a symbol of the feminine moon goddess and represented change and female empowerment in the Victorian Era.
