A sweet antique Victorian brooch from the late 19^th Century consisting of a heart-shaped wreath decorated with natural seed pearls and a heart suspended in the centre pave set with further seed pearls and a twinkling old mine cut diamond. 

Pearls are the birthstone of June. A true treasure of the ocean, pearls are desired for their rich, creamy tone and exceptional lustre that is produced organically by fresh and saltwater molluscs. They’ve become symbolic of purity, innocence and loyalty making them a favourite for most brides on their wedding day.  

The piece is fashioned in 15ct gold and features a hidden locket at the back of the heart in which a small photograph of a loved one can be inserted and kept forever close to your heart. A wonderful token of love that has remained in excellent condition over the centuries.
