





A fabulous Antique late Victorian Sautoir chain made at the turn of the 20th Century. The long chain is made up of golden cable links interspersed with fancy spiralling links with milgrain decoration.
A Sautoir necklace is a French term for a long chain that runs down to the waist. They were popular in the 1900s and were often worn looped multiple times around the neck to create a long cascading piece.
The chain is all Silver and has been gilded in 18ct Yellow Gold. It is fitted with a secure trigger clasp which may have been added at a later date.
