This fabulous Sterling Silver Scottish thistle brooch is Circa 1860.

Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid 1800s.

A beautiful glass Cairngorm coloured stone is set into the Silver gallery.

It shows fabulous all round Scottish workmanship with thistles engraved around the gallery.

The Thistle is the national flower of Scotland and has been a symbol of strength, protection and unity within the country throughout history.

The brooch is steeped in Victorian history.

It looks beautiful when worn.

It weighs 15 grams.

The brooch measures 43mm across x 43mm down.

The glass stone measures 17mm across x 17mm down.
