This breath taking dragonfly brooch has fabulous detail and encrusted with Marcasites
Marcasite jewellery has been made since the time of the Ancient Greeks. It was particularly popular in the 18th century, the Victorian era and with Art Nouveau jewellery designers. Marcasite's are also known as black Diamonds. They sparkle and shimmer just like real Diamonds.
Butterflies and dragonflies were popular during the Victorian era with animal and all insect brooches.
