Details
A beautiful antique Victorian butterfly brooch from the late 19th Century modelled in silver and decorated with a fabulous array of glistening paste stones across the wings.
The eyes are set with two cabochon garnets and surprisingly a blue stone which tests as tanzanite has been added to the centre. It has a beautiful, deep blue hue and must have been added to the piece sometime in the late 20th Century after its discovery.
It’s a wonderful antique treasure and complete with a strong pin and hallmarks on the reverse.
