A fabulous Antique Victorian Sterling Silver brooch depicting a colourful lizard decorated with stripes of green and white Pastes Stones down the back and red Paste eyes.

Victorian jewellery mirrored Queen Victoria’s life with the ‘Romantic’ period producing decorative animal pieces such as lizards, symbolising the monarch’s sentimental side.

Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. White Pastes sparkle just like Diamonds and take expert craftsmanship to capture their beauty.
