This fabulous antique Victorian Scottish perfume bottle pendant is hallmarked Birmingham 1878.

Perfume bottle jewellery gained in popularity during the Victorian era and were used to hide a small vile of perfume inside for the wearer to use when needed.

This lovely bottle displays beautiful engraved detail across the front and on the screw top with two Scottish thistles made up of colourful Jasmine and Carnelian stones.

Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid 1800s.

The Thistle is the national flower of Scotland and has been a symbol of strength, protection and unity within the country throughout history.

The bottle and chain are set in Sterling Silver and complete with hallmarks across the screw top.

This is a unique Scottish pendant, steeped in history and highly collectable!
