This marvellous Victorian Spider Web pendant is, Circa 1900.
The pendant is set in 18ct Yellow Gold, showing a Spiders Web with a Spider sat in the middle, finishing with an Emerald set into the Spiders head.
Insect or spider jewellery today is highly collectable and was a symbol of good luck to the wearer during the Victorian Era.
Emerald derives its beautiful green colour from the presence of chromium and vanadium. The Emerald is the sacred stone of the goddess Venus, it was thought to preserve love.
This is a beautiful unique pendant which is steeped in Victorian history, a true collectors piece.
This would look fabulous displayed on a Gold chain.
