Product Details
An enchanting antique Victorian ruby diamond cluster ring, modelled in 18ct gold. A natural cherry-pink cabochon ruby takes centre stage and has a gelatinous appearance and ethereal inner glow that morphs into a magical star that moves across the curvature of the stone in direct light. It weighs approx. 2.3 carats and is haloed by twinkling rose cut diamonds around the edge, approx. 0.32ct total.
The mystifying Star Ruby is named after its enchanting star-shaped shimmer known as an asterism that floats across the stones surface of the stone in direct light. The star's three crossbars were said to represent faith, hope and destiny and were worn as powerful talismans, offering protection and guidance to travellers.
This is a striking antique Victorian ring, dating to the late 19th Century, with a truly captivating and rare natural star ruby on top that is sure to impress.
