This genuine antique Victorian Suffragette necklace is spectacular, Circa 1900.

All set in 15ct Yellow Gold leading to fabulous baroque Pearls, a Peridot, and a large Amethyst.

Emmeline Pankhurst was the leader of the British Suffragette movement in the 19th century and through her efforts won the right for women to vote.

Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine. Their jewellery was chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking!

Give Women Votes - Green is for give, white is for women and violet is for votes.

Amethyst has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and legendary powers to stimulate, and soothe, the mind and emotions.

Baroque pearls are unique for their irregular non-spherical shape which are formed in freshwater mussels or saltwater Oysters. The Pearls have a wonderful lustre with a rich creamy tone, they are lovely lustrous and natural.
