This marvellous Victorian 18ct Yellow Gold Suffragette ring is dated, Chester 1915.
The ring boasts craftsmanship, it is beautifully decorated in an Amethyst, two Peridots and sparkling Diamonds which are nestled in-between the gemstones.
The combination of gemstones represent such a powerful time back in the 1900’s.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking.
Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes.
