Dating to the late 19th century, this grand antique Victorian turquoise and diamond ring is beautifully crafted in solid 18ct yellow gold. The gallery is adorned with three natural cabochon turquoise stones, displaying soothing blue-green hues, complemented by four twinkling old mine-cut diamonds. The stones are elegantly set within a classic Victorian carved half-hoop, with delicate scrollwork and distinctive arrowhead engraving adorning the shoulders.
During the late 19th century, turquoise was immensely popular in romantic Victorian jewellery. When paired with diamonds, turquoise was often associated with true love and affection, sometimes linked to the symbolism of the “forget-me-not” flower, while diamonds represented constancy and enduring love.
