A lovely antique Victorian Silver frog brooch decorated with Turquoise stones and red Garnet eyes. Victorian jewellery mirrored Queen Victoria’s life with the ‘Romantic’ period producing decorative animal pieces, such as frogs to symbolise the monarch’s sentimental side. Turquoise are a lovely opaque stone with a calming blue/ green colour that was considered a symbol of friendship and said to bring good fortune. This is a great collector’s item and perfect for anyone who adores these little amphibians.
