Add a touch of 1920s glamour to your lapel with this captivating Art Deco amethyst diamond brooch, built around an enormous scissor cut amethyst, weighing an impressive 20 carats (approx.) It has a regal, deep violet hue and is bezel set within an octagonal gallery, fashioned in 18ct white gold, with two outer frames of rose cut diamonds, glittering around the border like the amethyst’s own personal paparazzi (approx. 0.80ct total).
Amethyst’s regal purple-violet hue has been a favourite of kings and royalty throughout history and was said to provide clarity, protection, and wisdom. It’s also the birthstone of February and the stone of Saint Valentine, making it a popular token of romance, love and commitment.
This amethyst diamond brooch is a timeless piece with a striking, geometric design and milgrain edging that is all characteristic of the Art Deco style. It’s a great collector’s piece, in excellent condition, with a pin and locking catch on the reverse to hold it secure.
