An extraordinary Edwardian-revival daisy cocktail ring, showcasing a rare and breath-taking Paraiba tourmaline cabochon at its centre, encased in a luminous two-tone 18ct yellow and white gold “daisy” mount. The impressive centre stone weighs 12.87 carats, which has been verified and stamped within the band. It’s encircled by a dazzling scalloped halo of eighteen brilliant-cut diamonds, graded VS–SI clarity - H colour, totalling a verified 1.47 carats.
Similar to an emerald, this high-domed sugarloaf cabochon reveals delicate internal “jardin” - natural veins that lend the stone a unique, one-of-a-kind character. These fine veils catch the light like crushed ice, enhancing its coveted neon aqua hue, which seems to glow with the bioluminescent glow of a tropical lagoon.
Though Paraiba tourmaline is a relatively modern gemstone, discovered in 1989, the ring’s design pays elegant homage to the early 20th century. It reflects the romantic Garland Style of the “La Belle Époque”, with fine milgrain edging and an intricate openwork under-gallery of petal-like forms and scrolling flourishes at the back.
This is the first Paraiba tourmaline ring to ever pass through our shop and may be the last! They’re extremely rare and this one is in mint condition, with a fine collection of diamonds accompanying it. A statement jewel like no other, destined to enchant and turn heads wherever it is worn.
