Details
This colourful Suffragette tribute cross pendant is crafted in 9ct yellow gold and claw-set with three violet amethysts, two green peridots, and a glittering cultured opal cabochon at its heart.
Jewellery in green, violet, and white was proudly worn in the early 20th century to show allegiance to the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU), a leading force in the British suffrage movement. The colours carried profound meaning: violet for loyalty and dignity, white for purity, and green for hope, and sometimes represented the acronym “Give Women Votes!”
Complete with Birmingham hallmarks on the loop, this pendant is not only a beautiful piece but also a meaningful tribute to the courage and spirit of the suffragette movement. The perfect gift for a loved one, with a fabulous assortment of gems on display.
