Details
This grand carved half-hoop ring is adorned with three violet amethysts and two green peridots arranged in an elegant alternating sequence. The stones are set within a chunky 9ct yellow gold gallery, richly carved and accented by delicate scrolled engraving along the sides and shoulders.
This striking combination of gemstone colours was historically associated with the women’s Suffrage movement of the early 20th century. Often complemented by a white stone, the palette carried symbolic meaning: violet for loyalty, white for purity, and green for hope - or, more boldly, “Give Women Votes.”
A grand and characterful piece, the ring is complete with hallmarks inside the band and showcases a beautiful interplay of contrasting gems that fan gracefully over the top of the finger.
