A wonderful Memento Mori style band ring featuring a silver skull at the front set with twinkling, old mine cut diamond eyes.
Such macabre imagery was common in Memento Mori jewellery, which literally translates as “Remember you will die”. The morbid themes were not a celebration of death, rather a reminder to live your life well.
The band is 18ct gold and depicts a snake with scaled detailing and small, ruby eyes. It’s very unique and a great talking piece.
