A grand Memento Mori ring featuring a wonderful golden skull at the front with 0.06ct Diamonds set in the eyes leading to a splendid band which has been beautifully carved and features cross bones on each shoulder.
Memento Mori is Latin for ‘Remember that you have to die’. During the 17th Century, Memento Mori jewellery was decorated with skulls, crossbones and coffins which seem macabre today but these pieces were a reminder to cherish each waking day.
The piece is modelled in 15ct Yellow Gold and made in the Georgian manner. It is a great talking piece and beautifully made.
