This wonderful Skull and crossbones ring has been made in the Georgian Memento Mori style and features glistening Rose cut Diamonds across a Silver Skull and white Enamelled crossbones below.
Such macabre imagery was common in Memento Mori jewellery, which literally translates as “Remember you will die”. The morbid themes were not a celebration of death, rather a reminder to live your life well.
The ring displays stunning workmanship with an ornate 15ct Gold shank with fine engraved detail. It’s very unique and a great talking piece.
