This grand Memento Mori ring is encrusted with approx. 0.75ct of Diamond which sparkle beautifully across a large engraved skull.
Memento Mori is Latin for ‘Remember that you have to die’. During the 17th Century, Memento Mori jewellery was decorated with skulls, crossbones and coffins which seem macabre today but these pieces were a reminder to cherish each waking day.
The older Diamonds have been re-set in a newer Silver Skull gallery with 18ct Yellow Gold shank which is all made in the Georgian manner.
The piece sits comfortably on the finger and is a great talking piece with lots of character.
