Product Details
A colourful Victorian inspired Acrostic cluster ring, crowned with a bright brilliant cut diamond claw set in the centre, haloed by an emerald, amethyst, ruby, emerald, sapphire and tourmaline, which together spell the word DEAREST with each first letter.
During the Victorian era, acrostic jewellery was a romantic way for lovers to secretly convey their affection amidst the stricter social rules and restrictions governing a couple’s courtship. Their heartfelt messages were discreetly encoded into the design of the piece in the form of multi-coloured gemstones, creating a beautiful adornment and a treasured secret.
The piece is crafted in 9ct gold and features engraved split shoulders on either side and Birmingham hallmarks within the band. It would make a perfect gift for your “dearest” and revives an old Victorian tradition that has lost none of its charm.
