Set in silver with an 18ct gold band, this delightful Victorian-revival frog ring reflects the 19th-century love of Naturalism and whimsical design. It sparkles with rose-cut diamonds across the back (approx. 0.30ct) and pink ruby eyes, with a lustrous silver cultured pearl beneath the mouth, imitating the frogs inflated “croaking” throat.
As fascination with the natural world grew in the late 19th century, jewellery design softened into more expressive, organic forms. The frog emerged as a potent symbol of transformation, fertility, and rebirth - its journey from water to land seen as a reflection of evolution and renewal.
This ring is a wonderful homage to the past and a playful conversation piece for anyone who adores these wonderful amphibians and wants to carry a symbol of their own love of nature on their hand.
