This fabulous Art Nouveau-inspired pendant is decorated with a rainbow of cultured opal cabochons across an open-work gallery, with elegant foliate metalwork. The opals exhibit bright blue, green and purple flecks that glitter beautifully in the light and the largest are bezel set in the centre and on a dropper at the bottom.
Opal is the birthstone of October and is considered a stone of luck, creativity, and passion. Its enchanting spectrum of colours and ethereal quality, known as “opalescence”, flow across the surface of the stone as if alive and evoke the natural beauty of a fractured rainbow or the Aurora Borealis dancing against the night sky.
This Victorian-style pendant is crafted expertly in sterling silver and has been given an 18ct yellow gold gilt finish. It would make a beautiful gift for a loved one and is accompanied by a fine gold gilt chain to display it on.
