Details
A fabulous Art Nouveau-style opal insect ring, featuring a large, winged Beetle, claw-set with three cultured opal cabochons and matching opal eyes. Each opal displays a vibrant play of green, pink, blue, and orange, shimmering and changing with the light like a rainbow of confetti.
Inspired by the late 19th-century fascination with natural forms and ethereal beauty, bug jewellery became a defining motif of the Art Nouveau movement. The piece looks to depict a beetle or cicada, symbols of rebirth and transformation, with the enchanting opals capturing the spirit and everchanging beauty of nature.
Crafted in silver and gilded in 18ct yellow gold, the ring is finished with a gently twisted band that curves gracefully around the insect. A striking statement piece, perfect as an October birthstone gift or for anyone captivated by antique-inspired design and the natural world.
