A stunning Victorian Revival pendant centred around an enormous round paste jewel, expertly cut and faceted in the distinctive style of an Old European cut. Its high crown, open culet and distinctive star-like faceting is characteristic of the cut which was designed to allow the stone to capture and softly scatter the soft glow of candlelight in the 19th Century.
The gem is beautifully framed within a period-matching scalloped silver collet, with smaller accent pastes on the bale above, and is accompanied by a fine 9ct gold chain to display it on. An eye-catching statement piece, it revives the elegance and sophistication of a bygone era, with an extraordinary paste jewel, scintillating with the dazzling brilliance of a diamond.
