A magnificent aquamarine cocktail ring exhibiting a large emerald-cut aqua weighing approx. 8 carats. It has a deep ocean-blue hue and linear facets that flicker beautifully when they catch the light. It’s flanked by stepped shoulder accents set with four baguette-cut diamonds with SI1 clarity – I colour (approx. 0.40ct total).
Aquamarine is the birthstone of March. It derives its name from its tranquil, clear blue/ green colouring that emulates the beauty of a tropical ocean or icy glacial waters. It was once believed to be the treasure of Mermaids and is said to bring happiness, good fortune and eternal youth.
The piece is modelled in platinum and the aqua is mounted in a robust four-prong mount with pierced sides. It’s a spectacular statement piece, boasting a breath-taking aquamarine and is complete with London hallmarks, dating to 1984.
We recommend you insure for £5,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
