Details
Crafted in France in the mid-20th century, this grand vintage diamond cluster bombe ring features thirteen brilliant-cut diamonds with superb SI1 clarity - H colour, totalling approx. 0.90 carats. They’re pave set in a striking white gold honeycomb gallery, contrasting beautifully against the thick, curvaceous 18ct yellow gold band, which sits flat and hugs the finger comfortably.
Bombe rings were a defining trend of the 1950s–1960s, championed by prestigious French houses such as Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier. Moving away from the flat geometry of earlier decades, this ring embodies post-war glamour, with the triple-row of diamonds representing the wearers strength and confidence, or a couple’s unbreakable bond.
In excellent condition, with a soft patina and fluid curves, this retro bombe cluster ring is a treasure for vintage jewellery enthusiasts drawn to the bold, confident aesthetic of the swinging 60s. Wear it as a statement "Power Ring" or stack it with other gold bands for a modern, tiered look.
