A stunning Vintage Harlequin heart pendant fashioned in 9ct Yellow Gold and encrusted with a dazzling array of colourful Sapphires, Rubies and Diamonds cut in various shapes and sizes (approx. 20ct in total).
Harlequin jewellery is named after the colourful costumes of the 16th century comedy actors of the same name. It was very popular in the Victorian era and is currently enjoying a revival.
The stones vary from rich red Rubies to coloured Sapphires in blue, pink, yellow, white and green with small twinkling Diamonds nestles in between. All the stones have been tested as natural and some show signs of heat treatment which has enhanced their colouring and is detailed in an accompanying gem certification.
It’s a truly magnificent piece, in excellent condition and highly sought after.
