This cocktail ring (vintage) is built around a breath taking natural opal, this remarkable mid-century cocktail ring is sure to turn heads. The opal cabochon weighs an impressive 14 carats (approx.) and exhibits an enchanting rainbow of vibrant colours that are complemented by a halo of twinkling rose-cut diamonds around the border (approx. 1.3ct total).
Opal is the birthstone of October. Their magic has been revered throughout history, desired for their enchanting rainbow of vibrant colours that shimmer and intensify with the light. Ethereal greens, pinks and blues flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet Earth or the aurora borealis, with a burning orange sunset glowing behind.
The cocktail ring's vintage opal is bezel set in a sizable 14ct gold gallery that has developed a lovely smoothness and patina over time and features fabulous, pierced metalwork around the sides. It’s an imposing statement piece that is sure to capture the attention of all around it.
We recommend you insure this cocktail ring (vintage opal) for £4,600. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
