A magnificent cocktail ring boasting a mesmerising natural opal cabochon bulging from the centre, haloed by twinkling brilliant cut diamonds (0.39ct total) and deep green demantoid garnets (0.33ct total) arranged in a scattered, abstract design around the border. The opal has been weighed at 4.5ct and displays an incandescent rainbow of colours, with particularly vivid green and orange hues.
Opals have been valued throughout history as a magical, protective talisman of great power and it’s easy to see why. Ethereal greens, pinks and blues flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis and are illuminated by a burning orange sunset from behind.
The face is all 18ct white gold, with milgrain detailing and yellow gold settings for the stones. The band is also 18ct and features the stone weights stamped within the band.
