Product Details
A fabulous vintage statement ring from the 1940s built around a glossy moonstone cabochon with a pleasant peach hue and ghostly schiller that floats across the surface. It weighs approx. 6ct and is flanked by a trilogy of white spinel on two flared shoulder accents.
The mystifying moonstone derives its name from the stone’s ethereal, luminescent light that was once believed to be moonlight in solid form. The peach variety is desired for its soft, feminine colouring that evokes the beauty of a harvest moon rising at sunset, making it a symbol of hope and new beginnings.
The gallery is fashioned in 9ct gold and features milgrain shoulder detailing and clear London hallmarks within the shank, dating it to 1949.
