A fabulous Egyptian-inspired snake collar built around a steel spring cased in 9ct gold to create a thick, expandable band that slithers fluidly. The serpent's head and tail unite at the bottom, symbolising eternal love and have been delicately engraved and set with pink ruby eyes (approx. 0.04ct each).
Egyptian-style snake jewellery saw a revival in the 20th Century after an abundance of archaeological discoveries, most notably the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb brought about a fascination and desire for Egyptian-themed pieces across Europe.
It’s an ingenious design and fitted with a secure push-release box clasp and safety catch bearing Birmingham hallmarks behind the head.
We also have a matching snake bangle in stock. Please enquire, or search item number AJ1010 to view it.
We recommend you insure for £3,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
